Fruit And Nut Slaw Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 can (8 oz) sliced pineapple
- 1 can (11 oz) mandarin oranges, drained
- 1 container (8 oz) orange yogurt
- 1 medium banana, sliced
- 3 cups cabbage, shredded
- 1 cup celery, diagonally sliced
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
1. Drain the sliced pineapple but make sure that you reserve 2 tablespoons of the juice.
2. Cut the pineapple into thin strips and place them in a large bowl.
3. In another bowl, pour in the pineapple juice earlier and lemon juice. Mix well. Add in the sliced banana. Now pour everything into the large bowl with the pineapple strips.
4. Add in the mandarin oranges, walnuts, raisins, cabbage and celery. Combine the orange yogurt and salt first before adding it into the large bowl.
5. Toss lightly and cover it. Let it refrigerate for 2 hours before serving.
